Overturning Roe & the Impact on Campus

When Supreme Court Justice, Samuel Alito’s draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked and published by POLITICO, immediate response was felt across the country. The US, a nation that once led and inspired other countries and their reproductive rights activists, was now in a freedom free fall. The abolishment of Roe will have immediate and long term impacts on Higher Education - ranging from access to safe abortion, to heightening campus tensions, even enrollment decisions … nothing is off the table. Racism in the UNC system

On April 28 the AAUP released a report of the Special Committee on Governance, Academic Freedom, and Institutional Racism in the University of North Carolina System. War on Campus, a dispatch from Ukraine

On February 22, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. Since then, much of the western world has been united behind the people of Ukraine. For those of us in HIgher Education, we have had to focus on supporting Russian as well as Ukrainian students who may be enrolled at our institutions, but have we considered what it has been like on the ground in Ukraine for Ukrainian educators?
